Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina and Confindustria Serbia Sign Cooperation Agreement – DDOR Supports cooperation between private and public sector

Patricio del Tos, the President of the ‘Confindustria Serbia’ association, and Boško Vučurević, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, signed an agreement today to collaborate on representing the interests of their members, organizing educational programs, business events, conferences, and participation in trade fairs.

Boško Vučurević, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, emphasized the desire to solidify and enhance the existing relations and create a more conducive business environment through the implementation of this agreement.

He stated, ‘The total commodity trade between the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and the Republic of Italy for the first six months has reached one billion euros, constituting 38.5% of the total trade between Serbia and Italy. Since 2001, Italian companies have invested one billion euros in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. Currently, there are 69 active companies employing over 12,000 workers.’

Italy has long been one of Serbia’s major foreign trade partners. With the growing need for internationalization of Italian businesses, Confindustria Serbia provides an operational structure and support to its members for successful collaboration with partners in Serbia through its network, services, and representation.

Patricio del Tos, President of the ‘Confindustria Serbia’ association, expressed his enthusiasm and dedication to work with a diligent team to achieve the goals outlined in the agreement signed today.

“Among the members of Confindustria, there are over 50 companies operating in the Vojvodina region, employing nearly 7,000 people. Veneto, the region I come from, and Vojvodina are the most productive regions in their respective countries. Our common bond is the aspiration to create and produce to meet global interests,” said Patricio del Tos, President of Confindustria Serbia.

The signing ceremony was also attended by the Chairman of the Executive Board of the DDOR osiguranje, Francesco Masci, who is also a member of the General Council of Confindustria Serbia. On this occasion, Masci emphasized that this initiative is a further step towards strengthening the relations between Italy and Serbia, part of a broader spectrum of activities and projects that he believes will contribute to the further development of Vojvodina and the entire country.

„Covering – in a way – the role of connecting these two important institutions is a source of pride for me, and I hope it can facilitate the implementation of the strategy we have been developing since my arrival in Serbia, the concrete development of a stronger partnership between the public and private sectors, where the insurance industry in general, and DDOR in particular, will play a key role in ensuring the realization of investments necessary for the country’s future growth and the removal of barriers to economic development and social convergence”, Masci emphasized.

Mr. Masci was joined by members of the executive board, Tatjana Rakočević and Vladimir Malešević, as well as DDOR Regional Sales Director, Predrag Mirović, in the signing of the agreement.

Thanks to its agile organizational structure and strong institutional connections both in Serbia and Italy, Confindustria Serbia has become a key player in improving the economic and social relations between these two countries. Therefore, the signing of this agreement was a natural step in this collaboration, and DDOR Osiguranje will continue to support the strengthening of good Serbian-Italian relations, thus being a strong pillar of the Serbian economy and a key driver in enhancing economic ties.
