In anticipation of the holidays – Charity for solidarity

The International Women’s Club Charity Bazaar, which was held yesterday, December 3, at the Hyatt Regency Belgrade, gathered over 2000 visitors, as well as representatives of almost 30 countries.

The IWC Charity Bazaar is a multicultural event that gathers around thirty foreign embassies from Belgrade representing countries around the world. Each embassy had its own decorated booth, where it displayed and sold food, arts and crafts, and other products unique to its culture. In addition, an exciting cultural program was held in which children’s choirs were involved, including many national dance performances from the participating countries.

However, in addition to the diversity of the program, everyone gathered around an important mission – all proceeds from the event will be directed to projects that help women in venerable situations in Serbia. This noble initiative was joined by the DDOR, which, at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Italy, where it contributed with Christmas sweets and wine for sale at the booth of the Italian diplomatic mission in Belgrade.

Since 2011, IWC has raised over €650,000 to fund a large number of projects that help children, women and men in need. Supporting them lies at the heart of IWC’s charitable work.

Providing support is also at the heart of DDOR. Let us remind you that this year in anticipation of the New Year’s holidays, DDOR allocated funds for a New Year’s meal for the users of the National Kitchens in almost 30 cities of Serbia. In cooperation with the Red Cross of Vojvodina, Belgrade and Niš, DDOR insurance will enrich meals for more than 11 thousand beneficiaries.
