List of Commitments

DDOR entered into a number of different commitments that guide our internal practices and policies and help define our approach to sustainability.

  • ESG policies

    Sustainability policy

    In 2024, DOOR Novi Sad as a company whose registered office is outside the territory of the Republic of Italy, adopted the principles and rules stipulated under the Unipol’s Sustainability Policy to the extent that the same are applicable and consistent with the regulatory framework of the Republic of Serbia and regulations applicable to insurance activity, as well as with the business model of the Company.

    The Policy includes updated chapter on Unipol’s Climate Strategy linked to climate changes, dedicated to the protection of the environment, terrestrial, marine and freshwater ecosystems and the fight against climate change, highlighting the commitment to reducing emissions of climate-changing gases.

    Human Rights Guidelines

    The Guidelines reinforce and specify what is already stated in the Code of Ethics and the Group Sustainability Policy. DDOR respects fundamental human rights and the standards issued by relevant international organizations, including:

    • the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and subsequent international conventions on civil and political rights and on economic, social and cultural rights;
    • the UN Conventions on the Rights of Women, on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, on the Rights of the Child, and on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities;

    In its direct activities and in relation to its spheres of influence, DDOR commitment is to respect the principle that all persons are entitled to fundamental rights and freedoms, regardless of their nationality, gender, religion, race or any other status. To this end, DDOR is engaged in major global initiative to support the protection and development of human rights, UN Global Compact.

    Policy on remuneration, wages and other benefits for employees and Rulebook on criteria for monitoring and evaluating work results

    The new Policy on remuneration, wages and other benefits for employees of DDOR Novi Sad has been adopted in 2023 and it is periodically reviewed in order to harmonize it with the Group policy. The Group and the Company are committed to the principles of internal fairness, meritocracy, cascading distribution and assessment of goals, sustainable development and gender equality. The new policy confirms consistency in the prevention of conflicts of interest among the functions of the management system.

    Also, the new Rulebook on criteria for monitoring and evaluating work results has been aligned with the relevant document of the Unipol Group, as well as the Company’s Salary Policy. The alignment changed the structure of the objectives by putting the ESG principles and values of the Group as one of the four main objectives.

    Environmental protection policy

    Fully dedicated in implementing the environmental protection concept as an integral part of its business system, DDOR Novi Sad has adopted an Environmental protection policy as an integral part of environmental management system (EMS) based on good business practices and requirements of all stakeholders.

Avoiding any illegal or improper activities that could lead to environmental pollution.

    We are dedicated to top quality in every aspect and in practice, by consistently implementing the principle of including in our priorities, aside from business results, a responsible approach to generally valid goals of environmental protection and wellbeing of society as a whole, the local community, our business partners and other stakeholders.
