On May 29th, DDOR Insurance experienced an ordinary working day transformed into something completely different — the company’s premises were filled with smiles, curiosity, and the energy of the youngest visitors. For the fourth time, “Children’s Day Brings Joy”(Dečiji Dan Osigurava Radost) was organized, an event dedicated to the children of employees, aimed at introducing them to the world of work, responsibility, and community through games and educational activities.
This year’s theme, in line with the Unipol Group initiative, was financial literacy — an important life skill that young participants learned about in a creative, interactive, and age-appropriate manner.
The program began at DDOR Insurance’s premises in Novi Sad, where approximately one hundred children had the opportunity to visit their parents’ workplaces and become familiar with the business environment. The gathering then continued in the park at Galerija Square, which became a space for games, learning, and shared discovery for several hours.
Through workshops tailored to different age groups, children learned about the value of money, saving, exchange, decision-making, and the importance of planning. The youngest discovered their first concepts of value and reward through a treasure hunt, preschoolers learned about the principles of exchange and limited resources through play, while schoolchildren were introduced to saving and insurance. Older participants had the opportunity to test themselves in budget simulations, expense planning, and financial decision-making.
At the end of the day, the young finance enthusiasts were rewarded with diplomas and symbolic gifts as a memento of an experience that combined learning, fun, and first steps toward understanding finances. Through organizing such events, DDOR Insurance confirms its commitment to creating a supportive environment that nurtures community, responsibility, and investment in future generations.
